The second photo is of our newly installed Board of Directors and Chapter Officers, which include from left to right, Dave Nichols (ICC), President Dan Birkel, 1st Vice President Steve LeCam, Board Member Mark Meranda, Board Member Don Jeppson, Sergeant of Arms Jeff Ball, Secretary DJ Korson, Treasurer Jackie Schalberg, 2nd Vice President Eric Simmonson, Board Member Shannon Gardner. The last photo was a little comic issue we had prior to proceeding with the installation (it actually was not a fly, but a cord from the projection screen).
Our Final Chapter Meeting of the 2013 and our 2012 International Wildland Urban Interface Code Class
The pictures below include Chapter President Dan Birkel conducting our business meeting, Pete Mulvihill and Ed Smith giving the chapter a presentation on the 2012 International Wildland Urban Interface Code, our Toys for Tots collection and the lunch provided by Dickey’s BBQ Pit. This final meeting was our largest turn out of 2013 and we want to thank all the members who attended!
Snow Loading in Northern Nevada
When most people think of Nevada, they think of a desert landscape. However, areas of Northern Nevada are subject to high snow loading as these photos show what can happen to a roof with 12 feet of snow accumulation.
